No More Joe’s All American Poker in Snellville / Grayson

Effective immediately (8/29/07) we will no longer be playing at Joe’s All American Grille in Grayson.

We’d like to thank all of the players that called Joe’s “home” with the APC and make sure that all of our Snellville, Lawrenceville and Grayson Poker Players that we will have another Atlanta Poker Club League Venue  very soon. APC Invited to St. Judes Charity Poker Tourney

The Atlanta Poker Club has been invited to a Charity Tournament benefiting St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital on Friday 9/21, 2007.

A donation of $50 is suggested to attend this event.

This tournament will not count as an APC League Event and there will be no points awarded. There are currently seats available for this tournament and Chili’s asked us to invite the APC.

The APC is also participating in another St Judes Charity event at Jeffreys in Braselton and a soon to be announced Charity Event at Jeffreys Suwanee!

Season 11 Details - New APC Season Starts Monday, August 27th

Welcome to Season 11 of The Atlanta Poker Club! The eleventh season for the APC officially starts Monday, August 27, 2007 at any one of the three APC Monday night venues.

Players can earn their first APC Season 11 points on Monday at: Indigo Joes for poker in Suwanee, Safari Grill for poker in Winder, or Southern Comfort for poker in Lawrenceville. (see a complete list of nightly APC venues )

Points for Season 11 for The Atlanta Poker Club can be earned through the APC Online event on Sunday, November 18, 2007 (season 11 ends).

Season 11 Prizes - Grand Champion (winner of the Grand Championship Event) will win an APC Season Grand Championship Prize usable at the nearest casino of choice to enter a World Series of Poker Event or World Poker Tour Event. The Prize includes a tournament entry of $500+50 and $100 for travel. Grand Champion also wins the exclusive rectangular card guard. Points Leaders at each venue also win the customized Atlanta Poker Club Card Guard.

How to Qualify for the Season 11 Grand Championship - To Qualify for the Season 11 Grand Championship you must -

1) Be in the top 50 in points on the over-all leaderboard, or
2) Be in the top 10 in points at any one individual venue.

Season 11 Grand Championship Date: Saturday, December 8, 2007 (time and venue TBA)

Season 11 AllStar Details - How to qualify for Season 11 AllStars:

- Accumulate 1500 points thru the end of Season 11/Week 10, or
- Be the points leader at any one venue at the end of Season 11/ Week 10

Week 10 Ends with the APC Online event on Sunday, November 4, 2007

Rome Georgia Poker - New Weekly North Georgia Poker Tournament

The Atlanta Poker Club is proud to announce weekly tournament poker in Rome Georgia. Please join us in welcoming Old Havana Cigar Co to our family of host venues! Beginning Tuesday, September 4, 2007, poker players in North Georgia will have a new weekly poker tournament in Rome Georgia.

Old Havana Cigar Co is located at 327 Broad Street in Rome, Georgia and is sure to be a popular location for poker in North Georgia.

Rome Georgia poker details:

First event will be Tuesday, September 4th. Registration at 6 pm - poker tournament starts at 7 pm. The Atlanta Poker Club will be hosting freeroll poker tournaments at Old Havana every Tuesday night. Atlanta Poker Club league points will be awarded to the top finishers in each event. These points can qualify a player to win a casino tournament seat…and even a seat in the 2008 WSOP!

Atlanta St Judes Charity Poker Tournament

On Thursday, September 6th, the Chili’s corporate group is hosting a Charity Poker Tournament for St Judes at Jeffreys Sports Bar in Braselton. Chili’s has extended a repeat invitation to all Atlanta Poker Club players. Atlanta Poker Club members were part of a HUGE donation of over 5 million dollars made to St Judes last year by Chilis - the largest individual donation made to St Judes by a company EVER.

If you want to experience true ‘large field’ live tournaments then you are going to love this event. There will be great prizes and sure to be a good time had by all. First 50 people to sign up and donate also get a $25 Golf Smith Coupon!

Here’s the details:

When: Thursday, September 6, 2007

Suggested Donation: $50 (Optional - This donation is completely optional and not required to play in the event. We encourage everyone to donate if possible and all donations benefit St. Judes, which does qualify for a charitable donation (tax writeoff).

Yes, this is a normal APC League Night, too (points will count)! All players will be eligible for APC league points at this special tournament. (note: no bonus chips or food incentive chips given for this event)

As another highly-competitive season for The Atlanta Poker Club comes to an end, it is time to announce the official details for the season-end Grand Championship!

Season 10 - End of Season Details

Season 10 Details, Dates and Championships:

The last opportunity to earn points for Season 10 will be the Atlanta Poker Club Online Tournament on 8/19/07.

Venue Championship Week / Last Chance Qualifying Week will begin on Monday 8/20/07 and end with the APC Online Tournament on 8/26/07. Individual Venues will hold two tournaments during this week of play. There will be a venue championship event and a last chance qualifier. See your TD and Tournament Host for the specifics of each venues championship event. Everyone is welcome to play in the last chance qualifier tournament, but you must have scored at least 100 points in the current season to win a seat into the grand championship event. In the event that a player who does not have 100 points wins the last chance qualifier, the league member with the highest finish who also has at least 100 points wins the last chance qualifying seat. *Southern Comfort Championship will be on on Friday August 31st, 2007 as previously announced. All other venues will have championships during normal championship week.

Quad 4″ Qualifiers - Season 10 also marked the first season players could qualify for the “Quad 4 Promotion” where 4 Atlanta Poker Club Members will win a seat into the 2008 World Series of Poker.
