Poker Promotions for APC This Week
There’s some great poker happening all over the Atlanta area this week with The Atlanta Poker Club. After browsing around the APC poker forum, I found some awesome promotions for this Halloween week.
DownRiggers -
Halloween Poker Extravaganza
DownRiggers Bar and Grill has some great Halloween fun planned for all you Winder and Barrow County poker players. Your normal APC Texas Holdem event will be complemented with a costume contest and trivia questions. Prizes for best costumes, trivia winners, and more! Come early and play in the pre-tournament speed tournament.
DownRiggers Sneak Peak
- Some very cool poker events are coming up at DownRiggers. Next Wednesday, November 7th , there will be a Pot Limit Omaha tournament. Don’t miss it!
DownRiggers Important Notice
- DownRiggers Saturday afternoon event is now a Saturday NIGHT poker event. Starting Saturday, November 3rd, DownRiggers will be playing on Saturday nights. Sign up at 7:00 pm - Cards Fly at 8:00 pm.
Famous Pub -
Haunted Halloween Poker in Druid Hills/Tucker Area.
Famous Pub will having their own Halloween Bash tonight. Come to this Halloween poker tournament in costume and you’ll get a 500 bonus chip. No “lazy” costumes, please!
Cocktail Cove -
Halloween Poker on Lake Lanier
Come play poker in Gainesville at Cocktail Cove this Halloween. Wear a costume and get 500 in bonus chips.
Shakers -
Play Poker in Lawrenceville at the Newest APC Venue.
Come on out and play texas holdem at Shakers in Lawrenceville this Thursday night, November 1st. First time playing at Shakers? All new players will receive a 500 chip bonus. Be sure to come early and play in the pre-tournament Speed Tournament at 6:30.

3 New Places to Play Poker with the Atlanta Poker Club
Poker in Atlanta - Famous Pub
The APC welcomes poker in the Tucker/Druid Hills area at Famous Pub on North Druid Hills Road. Conveniently located in the Toco Hills shopping center (right behind Wendys), this new venue is sure to become a favorite for APC players.
Famous Pub will be hosting the Atlanta Poker Club every Wednesday night starting October 17, 2007. Sign up at 6:30, cards fly at 7:30.
Poker in Lawrenceville - Shakers Sports Bar
Gwinnett County APC poker is about to get even better. The Atlanta Poker Club is pleased to welcome Shakers Sports Bar in Lawrenceville. Shakers is located just 1.5 miles off I-85 on Old Norcross Road. This new venue has been dubbed the newest party spot in Gwinnett County. Now, we can add “hottest texas holdem” spot, too!
Shakers Sports Bar will be hosting Atlanta Poker Club events every Thursday night starting this Thursday, October 18, 2007. Sign up at 6:30 - poker tournament starts at 7:30.
Poker in Cumming - Indigo Joe’s
The APC has been running weekly poker events at the Indigo Joes in Suwanee, now we will be at the Cumming location of Indigo Joe’s, too. If you live in the Buford, Gainesville, Woodstock, or Alpharetta area, make sure to mark your calendar to play poker with the APC every Thursday night at Indigo Joe’s in Cumming. First event will be this Thursday, October, 18, 2007. Sign up at 6:30, cards fly at 7:30.
Inaugural Events- Double APC Player Points
In true APC tradition, each new venue will have a special bonus event on their first night. Double Player Points will be awarded for the opening night at Shakers and Famous Pub. In order to space out the double player points special events, Indigo Joe’s in Cumming will have their Double Player Points night NEXT Thursday, Oct 25th.
How do double player points work? Simple - double the player count for that event! For example, if we have 60 players play that night, points will be awarded as if there were 120 players! It’s always a good way to get an edge on the tough competition on the APC leaderboard.

WSOP Quad 4 Promotion Qualified List
The Atlanta Poker Club is sending FOUR people to the 2008 World Series of Poker. Will you be one of them? The Win a World Series of Poker Seat Quad 4 Promotion is running from Season 10 through Season 13 (4 seasons total). 1 month prior to the 2008 World Series of Poker we will hold a series of 4 WSOP Award Tournaments. These tournaments are called WSOP Award Tournaments and there are unique ways to qualify for each tournament. Each of these tournaments will award the winner with a $1500 Seat in to the 2008 WSOP + $500 for Travel.
