The APC Champion of Champions tournament is designed to mimic the World Series of Poker itself with 10,000 starting chips and a generous blind structure. This tournament will crown the yearly APC Champion of Champions and take their seat at the WSOP.

Quad 4 Minis - Win $500 Every Month!

After taking a season to listen to and digest feedback from our players and evaluate our yearly league challenges and league structure we are proud to announce a slightly modified league structure starting Season 15 (August 25th).

The players have spoken and we have listened! Starting in Season 15, (begins on August 25th 2008), all Atlanta Poker Club members will now be competing to play for $500 in cash every four weeks in what we are calling the “Quad Four Monthly Mini’s

Don’t worry, we’re still doing our seasonal league points race and Grand Championships as usual, but instead of competing for satellite seats into the WSOP, you can compete to win cold hard cash every single month, all year long.

How it works:

The top 60 in points during the specific “Quad 4 Mini” qualify for an invitation only tournament that happens the following Saturday afternoon. This tournament is called the Quad Four Mini and you compete for $500 of cold hard cash against your fellow top points earners during that four week stretch of time. This tournament also qualifies you for the NEW yearly challenge if you win.

  • 1st place wins $350 + seat in the NEW yearly challenge (details).
  • 2nd wins $100
  • 3rd wins $50

Important: Seasonal points accumulate as normal, with the overall season points races happening just the same as before. It is for this promotion where the points will ‘reset’ every four weeks. So if you have done horribly the first half of the season, you can still compete in, and win a shot to win the monthly $500 every four weeks.

You can keep up with the Quad Four Mini’s points race with a link below the main points leaderboard.

Welcome APC Management Team

Atlanta Poker Club Management Team – Effective Monday, August 25th, 2008

League Coordinator – Rachel Nowell

We’d like everyone to give a warm welcome to Rachel Nowell to the Atlanta Poker Club Management Team. Rachel is responsible for organizing and streamlining our business practices and process. In a short answer, Rachel will handle all issues that would normally land on Spry’s desk, so if you hear it from Rachel you can assume you heard it directly from Spry. Rachel will be the first point of contact for all APC management team. You can contact Rachel via a private message once you register for the forum.

Regional Manager – Bill Boakes

Bill continues his management role with the Atlanta Poker Club as the regional manager of all events on the east side of I-85 (Lawrenceville side). His efforts will be focused on growth and development of the APC on the Barrow County, Suwanee, Lawrenceville, Snellville, and Stone Mountain areas. Bill will be the first point of contact for all Tournament Directors at venues in this region.

Regional Manager – David “Red” Wilson

David Red Wilson joins the management team at the APC as a regional manager. Red will be managing venues on the west side (Braselton / Buford side) of I-85 as well as the entire area south of I-285. Tournament Directors from within this region will report directly to Red to handle and solve any issues that arise during the course of business.

League Administrator – Maci Celli

While Maci is not a member of the APC management team, she is increasing her responsibilities as our league administrator to push the paper, the points, and the payroll and we wished to recognize her here. Maci will ensure that the APC behind the scenes paperwork flows smoothly and efficiently but will not be involved with the management aspect of the business.

Players – what this means to you.

Players, we do our best to listen to your concerns and adjust accordingly so please keep your feedback coming. Your first line of contact for questions, concerns and praise should be the Tournament Director at your nightly event. Our TD’s are, friendly, well trained and approachable. If you do not feel comfortable talking to your TD for whatever reason then you should contact the Regional Manager for that venue(listed above). if you are not comfortable contacting your regional manager you should talk to our League Coordinator. If you are finally not comfortable talking to our league coordinator then please contact one of the owners, Jason Spry or Brad Fuller by emailing support (at) atlantapokerclub dot com.

Seasonal Structure and League Details

We are revamping slightly our league seasons to better fit with our new prize promotions as well as players schedules in relation to the World Series of Poker and Tunica trips. To work in the $500 / month cash prizes, we are restructuring our seasons going forward to contain four “Quad 4 Mini’s within one full season, or 16 weeks which is four weeks longer than we currently play.

This structure not only allows us to give away $500 every month plus bigger and more prizes at seasonal grand championships, it also syncs up nicely with Las Vegas and Tunica’s WSOP and WPT schedules. Going forward we can avoid the last minute scramble for tickets and reservations like we had last year. The winner of the WSOP trip in 2009 will have a full month and a half to arrange travel and get time off of work, the lack of time to get scheduled to go was something we heard from everyone who won a seat as a suggestion for next year.

That’s FOUR unique chances every season to win $500 cash money while also earning seasonal league points, grand championships, allstars and a brand new yearly challenge called the Champion of Champions.

Here is our current APC Calendar of Events. New players are welcome at anytime during the season and it is always 100% free to join the Atlanta Poker Club!  Here is a full listing of prizes you can win.
