Season Ending Details-Summer ‘09

Summer ’09 ends on July 31st. This is the last day to earn points for Summer ’09.

Fall Season ’09 begins on August 1st.

The first week of Fall Season ’09 is also Venue Championship Week.

Venue Championships – are venue specific and usually the top 10 or 20 from that venue battling in out for the Venue Championship. For example;

A venue that plays one night a week will hold a single table sit-n-go with the Top 10 in points at that venue playing for the title of Venue Champion. A venue that plays on multiple nights will hold a multi-table tournament with the Top 10 in points from each of the nights that they play. Check with your Tournament Directors for the night of your Venue Championship.

All Venue Championships will offer points towards Summer ’09 based upon the numbers of players that play.

Last Chance Qualifying – There are no Last Chance Qualifying seats being awarded to The Summer ’09 Grand Championship Event.

The Atlanta Poker Club is proud to announce two new venues in Athens, Ga. With one of the APC’s founders graduating from the University of Georgia, it’s a bit nostalgic to start our first foray into Bogart and Athens, Ga. New players welcome, regardless of skill level!! Where to Play Texas Holdem Poker In Athens Georgia – UGA Poker

Welcome UGA students, professors, staff and alumni! We are thrilled to be playing poker in Athens and invite you all out to our 100% FREE (and legal) texas holdem tournaments.

At the time of this posting, we currently have two places to play poker in Athens. These include Club Chrome (actually considered Bogart) and The Red Rooster in Athens. Always be sure you check out our where to play poker in Georgia page as we are constantly adding new venues and it is likely that we will add more venues in Athens shortly. You can also see our full calendar of events here and this is the ultimate guide as to when and where we are playing texas hold em poker in Athens.

It is free to play, free to join the league. We host organized no limit texas holdem tournaments with a dedicated tournament director, full time dealers, clay poker chips, professional playing cards and more. We boast the closest thing to the real casino poker tournament experience that you can get in Georgia. We welcome new players to the league, regardless of skill level. Texas holdem is an easy game to learn but impossible to master! That’s what makes it so fun! You can learn more about our poker league and the prizes you can compete for by playing poker with us!

The Atlanta Poker Club is growing with 3 new venues to play Tournament Style Texas Holdem.

$500 June Points Race Tournament

Murphy’s Brass Rail is hosting the $500 June  Points Race Tournament this Saturday afternoon….July 11th.

Who is qualified.    

Directions to Murphy’s Brass Rail

  • Saturday, July 11th
  • Sign-up 12:00pm(noon)
  • Cards Fly at 1:00pm

The regular tournament will also occur at Murphy’s Brass Rail starting shortly after The Monthly Tournament begins. Any player who busts out of the June Monthly Tournament may enter Murphy’s  regular afternoon tournament up until the beginning of the 3rd blind level of the regular tournament.

    APC 4th of July Poker Schedule

    We hope that everone has a great 4th of July Weekend. Sun, fun, water and cook-outs. Plus Poker with the APC.

    There will not be an APC poker tournament at Murphy’s Brass Rail. Murphy’s Brass Rail will be hosting the $500 June Monthly Tournament the following Saturday, July 11th.

    There will not be an APC poker tournament at Tabby’s Irish Pub. Tabby’s Saturday schedule will resume the following Saturday, July 11th. For all of the poker-holics. Tabby’s will be hosting a 10k chip tournament on Friday Night, July 3rd.

    The rest of the Saturday schedule for the APC will play as regularly scheduled.
