     Tournament Director

Clint Johnson joined the Atlanta Poker Club as a full time dealer at the end of season 4 and started to play more towards the end of season 5. Clint earned the nickname ” first out ” because he was the first person to be knocked out in back to back championships. But Clint has also shown he can play poker. He has amassed 14 wins and also has 3 points championships. Clint was the tournament director for the Wooden Nickel for 3 and a half seasons and is curently in his second season as tournament director for Downriggers in Winder. Clint’s proudest playing accomplishments include finishing in the top 5 for overall points in season 7 and being 4th among the all time winningest players of the APC.

Favorite Poker Pro? Daniel Negreanu, for his witty repartee at the table and amazing reads. Phil Ivey for being one of the coolest players at the table.

Who has influenced your play the most? Everyone in the APC has helped me with my play, but here are a couple of notable mentions : Jeff Healan and Rob Hughes.

What else do you want to accomplish with the APC? I’d like to win a venue championship, an All-Star championship and a Grand Championship. I would also like to represent the APC well in a Tunica or Vegas tournament.

Any advice for new members joining the APC? Protect your cards when you are in a hand. Pay attention to the action at the table so you will know what is going on. Always respect your dealers.
