  Dan Venable

      Member since - April 2004

      Total wins - 2

Dan Venable has been a member of the Atlanta Poker Club since the first tournament in April of 2004. He has 2 APC wins and likes to play whenever he gets a chance. Just like many other APC players, Dan likes to visit the casinos when he can and hopes to be able to have a WSOP final table cash someday.

Favorite Poker Pro? Daniel Negraneau, Phil Helmuth and Sam Farha.

Who has influenced your play the most? Blake Gooch, Rainey Davis, Richard Cronier and Jason Spry.

What goals would you like to accomplish with the APC? Find time to play more and win the Grand Championship and an Overall Points Championship. I would also like to finish at the final table of a WSOP televised event and give credit to the APC.

What advice do you have for new members joining the APC? Study the game. Books, T.V., Talk to fellow players about strategy ( strengts and weakness ) of your game and have fun. Don’t get caught up complaining all the time about bad beats. Get your money in the middle with the best of it and accept your fate.  ( well said Dan )
