John is one of the most respected members of the Atlanta Poker Club. He is one of the most feared players and has been a force to be reckoned with since season 1. In the past 11 seasons with the APC, John has amassed 53 top 3 finishes in regular season play. He has also been in the top 20 in points 9 out of 11 seasons and has made 3 final tables at the season ending Grand Championships.

Season 13 Grand Champion

Jeffrey’s Suwanee Venue Champ Season
Jeffrey’s Braselton Venue Champ Season 3
Backdrafts Venue Champ Season 8
Upscale Venue Champ Season 7
Overall Points Leader Season 7
Season 7 Grand Champion
2 All-Star Championships

Who is your favorite poker pro? Toss up between Jennifer Harmon and Annie Duke.

Is there anything you still want to accomplish with the APC? I would really like to win another Grand Championship because the odds of winning 2 of those is astronomical.

Any advice you can give to new members joining the APC? Newbies, if you’re serious about competing for points, venue champion, all-star, play slow & cautious the first 2-3 weeks. Get to know the people you’re competing against. Look for patterns. Try to stay in each game as long as possible. Think of it as reconnaissance. Then when you have a clear picture of the enemy……POUNCE !

If not, just come out & have fun !
