APC 4th of July Poker Schedule
We hope that everone has a great 4th of July Weekend. Sun, fun, water and cook-outs. Plus Poker with the APC.
There will not be an APC poker tournament at Murphy’s Brass Rail. Murphy’s Brass Rail will be hosting the $500 June Monthly Tournament the following Saturday, July 11th.
There will not be an APC poker tournament at Tabby’s Irish Pub. Tabby’s Saturday schedule will resume the following Saturday, July 11th. For all of the poker-holics. Tabby’s will be hosting a 10k chip tournament on Friday Night, July 3rd.
The rest of the Saturday schedule for the APC will play as regularly scheduled.

Allstars Summer ‘09
The Allstar Race for Summer ‘09 with The Atlanta Poker Club is shaping up. Being an APC Allstar is being invited to play one of the most prestigious tournaments of The Altanta Poker Club. Players who qualify for this tournament know they are playing some of the most skilled high caliber poker players in the Metro Atlanta area. Where do you stand?
The Summer ‘09 Allstars Event will be held Sunday Afternoon, July 19th.

Here is how to qualify to become an Allstar for Summer ‘09.
- Accumulate 2000 points on the Overall Leaderboard by June 30th.
- Be the Points Leader at any one venue by June 30th.
- Be the Winner of the April, May or June Points Challenge.
Allstar Tournament Prizes
- 1st wins $150 in gift cards + Seat in Yearly Championship Tournament(Spring 2010) + Custom Card Guard
- 2nd wins $50 in gift cards + Seat in Yearly Championship Tournament (Spring 2010)
- 3rd wins $25 in gift cards + Seat in Yearly Championship Tournament (Spring 2010)
- All Allstars qualify automatically for the Season Championship Tournament.

Southern Comfort is hosting the $500 May Points Race Tournament this Saturday afternoon….June 6th.

The regular tournament will also occur at Southern Comfort starting shortly after The Monthly Tournament begins. Any player who busts out of the May Monthly Tournament may enter SoCo’s regular afternoon tournament up until the beginning of the 3rd blind level of the regular tournament.

The ’08-’09 Yearly Championship Tournament is being held at The Famous Pub.

The APC Yearly Championship tournament awards our biggest prize of the year, a seat into the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas!The yearly cycle started in Season 14 and finished with the conclusion of Winter ‘09. This tournament combines factors and results from across all three seasons of the year.
Here are the qualifications for the Yearly Championship Tournament:
- Finish in the top 100 in total points combined through Summer, Fall & Winter Seasons
- Win any Monthly Points Tournament
- Win any Season Points Race
- Win any Season Championship Tournament
- Win any Venue Season Points Race
- Win any Venue Season Championship Tournament
- Win any Allstars Tournament
- Qualify for Allstars all three seasons
In the Yearly Grand Championship Tournament you can win:
- 1st place = $1500 Seat in the WSOP in Vegas + $750 for travel + Custom Card Guard + APC Gear
- 2nd place = $300 + Choice of APC Gear

The Winter ‘09 Grand Championship Prize
- The winner or Grand Champion will receive a $550 seat at a WSOP or WPT event at their casino of choice. In addition to this they will receive the coveted custom rectangular Atlanta Poker Club engraved card guard as well as a listing in the APC Hall of Fame.
- The runner up or 2nd place player will receive $150 in Gift Cards + choice of APC Gear
- 3rd place will receive $50 in Gift Cards = choice of APC Gearspan>
- 4th through 10th place finishers will receive choice of APC Gear
Bonus Chips will be awarded prior to tournament start based on a players rank in the overall Atlanta Poker Club Leader board.
- 1st in overall points will receive 1500 Bonus Chips
- 2nd will receive 1000 Bonus Chips
- 3rd through 10th will receive 500 Bonus Chips

Winter ‘09 ends March 31st. This is the last day to earn points for Winter ‘09 (yes, on a Tuesday).
Summer ‘09 begins April 1st.
So, what is going on? How will this work many APC’ers ask?
The first week of Summer ‘09 is also Venue Championship Week and Last Chance Qualifying Week.
Venue Championships - are venue specific and usually the top 10 or 20 from that venue battling it out for the Venue Championship. For example;
A venue that plays one night a week will hold a single table sit-n-go with the Top 10 in points at that venue playing for the title of Venue Champion. A venue that plays on multiple nights will hold a multi-table tournament with the Top 10 in points from each of the nights that they play. Check with your Tournament Director for the night of your Venue Championship.
All Venue Championships will offer points towards Summer ‘09 based upon the number of players that play.
Last Chance Qualifying – All Venues during this week will hold a standard tournament that will offer a LC seat in The Winter ‘09 Seasonal Grand Championship Event. The Last Chance Qualifying seat will be awarded to a player that has a minimum of 100 points on the overall leaderboard and has not already earned a seat elsewhere. The player does not have to win that particular tournament but be the last player standing that meets the 100 point requirement and has not earned a seat elsewhere.
Some of these Last chance tournaments will be played at the same time Venue Championship Tournaments are being played and points will be earned toward Summer ‘09 based upon player entry.
